I help individuals, teens, and couples who are experiencing grief, anxiety, and depression. We work together to understand both past and present belief systems so that you can practice how to live in the here and now.
My Work
I am trained in psychodynamic psychotherapy where I learned the importance of past experiences and how they impact the present. Entering into therapy is a difficult but brave thing! In therapy, I desire to give you a boundaries space to explore feelings and experiences that you have not been able to explore or have trouble exploring on your own. The therapeutic relationship is vital to a productive therapy experience and my goal is to provide you with a non-judgmental space where we can work together as a team where we can be brave and curious together about your experiences and begin to reflect, grow, and change.
My Belief
Human flourishing involves movement and growth. Throughout life, we become stuck, too comfortable, and lose our direction. Embracing change is essential for growth, allowing us to discover new joys and pleasures while also letting go of things that no longer serve us, like relationships or habits. This process can bring both joy and sorrow. As a therapist, my goal is to help integrate these experiences to embrace a movement toward growth.
My Background
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with an MA in counseling psychology from The Seattle School of Psychology. I interned at Kitsap Mental Health Services working with adults of all ages and a wide background and I facilitated a grief and loss group.
As a person who worked as an Associate Pastor for five and half years, I have a desire to help my clients explore their past or current belief systems. For many years, I have been in personal therapy, exploring and feeling my own emotions and experiences. For me, therapy has helped foster a deeper sense of self and a greater curiosity for myself, others, and the world.
My Self
I am a person who loves to create and be in community, My avenues for creativity are knitting and photography. Knitting is an act of mindful creativity that engages the mind and body. Photography helps me be present and observant in the moment as I explore my surroundings. I am continuously thankful for the various communities and how they encourage me and help me grow.
